Perfect timing. I got laid off in June and we share the wind-up genes, so I'm in a really hard place mentally as I try to navigate what's next, not slide backward in the game of professional tech space Chutes & Ladders and cope with my baby leaving for her sophomore year of college in a few weeks.
I do recall being in this Chutes & Ladders environment and being told to "enjoy this time," which for us achievers is like being told to savor the moment while giving blood. Being present and tying back to our purpose are necessary now, but it's going against our grain to be in perpetual motion. Of course, we should chat about your next steps :)
Beautiful prose, beautiful ideas that so many can relate to in at least a small way. Thank you for sharing!
